External Mode Setup (PC, Remote Apps)

(PC Games, Chiaki PS Remote Play, Xbox Remote Play apps, or any external input application)

External Mode is used when Vision sends inputs through a virtual Xbox 360 controller instead of Titan Two.

Use this method if:

  • You are playing on PC (Steam Version)
  • You are using Chiaki or another PS Remote Play app
  • You want to use Greenlight or Xbox App
  • Any other external apps that accept a controller input

Requirements

Before starting, make sure you have downloaded and installed all required programs and environments, including HIDHide, for your setup in the Installation Guide

External Mode

1. Open the Cosmic Remote Launcher

In your extracted Cosmic Vision folder, open the Cosmic Remote Launcher

Performance Tips

Improve FPS & Stability

  • Shrink or minimize the Cosmic Vision window until it shows 60 FPS
  • Set Overlay → Meter or Overlay → Off in the Vision menu
(“Off” disables the on-screen overlay completely)
  • Ensure your PC and console are on wired Ethernet
  • Keep the game window in 1080p / 60 FPS for best detection

4. Hide Your Real Controller

After launching again, several windows will appear. Next you will need to hide your controller. External Mode creates a virtual Xbox 360 controller.

  1. Open HIDHide
  2. Click the checkbox next to your REAL controller
  3. At the bottom, click the checkbox Enable device hiding

Required Step

If you do NOT hide your real controller:
- Your game or remote-play app will read your real inputs
- Vision’s virtual releases will be ignored
- You will get red releases every single shot

5. Run Game Application

Whether you use PC Steam / Chiaki / Greenlight / Xbox App:

  1. Open the application
  2. Begin gameplay normally
  3. Vision will output through the virtual Xbox 360 controller

Steam Usage

Steam ignores controllers hidden by HIDHide. You must arrange the controller order for your specific game in Steam as shown below.

6. Steam Controller Settings (PC)

Steam ignores hidden devices in HIDHide. Please follow the steps below if you face any issues with your virtual controller output.

  1. In Steam, navigate to your Game Title Page
  2. Click on the controller icon
  3. Enable Steam Input (if disabled) and select Reorder Controllers
  4. Test which output the game is seeing:
    • In the Cosmic Vision GUI, set L1 to Rhythm Shot
    • If your L1 button shoots, then you know you have the right output
  5. If your output is incorrect, swap the controllers in the Reorder Controller window
Steam Controller Reorder

If using a PlayStation controller, disable their use in Steam completely:

  1. Open your Steam Settings and click on the controller tab
  2. Set PlayStation Controller Support to Not Enabled

7. Quick Reference — Launch Process

Repeat the following sequence:

  1. Close anything open (including force-closing Steam from the system tray)
  2. Open HIDHide and Unhide All Devices by clicking the checkbox
  3. Open Cosmic Remote Launcher
  4. Select your options → Launch
  5. After Vision opens: Hide everything except the virtual Xbox 360 controller in HIDHide
  6. Open your preferred Game Application
  7. Adjust Steam controller order, if required

This prevents conflicts and ensures Vision is always the only input source.
