Overview¶

This guide covers common issues and fixes for Cosmic ++. If you still experience issues after reading, please reach out on our Discord for assistance.

Connection Issues¶

Console Not Getting Internet¶

If your console cannot connect to the internet:

Verify Internet Connection Sharing is enabled on your PC
Search for "View Network Connections"
Right-click your primary adapter (connected to router) → Properties → Sharing
Ensure sharing is enabled and pointing to your USB adapter
Check cable connections
Router → PC (Ethernet)
USB Adapter → Console (Ethernet)
USB Adapter → PC USB 3.0 port (blue)
Restart your console's network settings

Adapter Not Recognized¶

If your USB-Ethernet adapter isn't showing up:

Try a different USB 3.0 port
Reinstall adapter drivers
Try a different adapter

Installer Issues¶

Installation Fails¶

If the Cosmic Environment Installer fails:

Click Reset to perform a clean reinstall
Run as Administrator (right-click → Run as administrator)
Disable antivirus temporarily
Ensure the folder is not synced with OneDrive

Launcher Issues¶

Launcher Won't Start¶

If the Cosmic ++ Launcher.bat doesn't run:

Ensure the Cosmic Environment Installer completed successfully
Ensure folder is fully extracted
Run as Administrator
Check that antivirus isn't blocking the file

Use your Discord ID (not your username)
Your Discord ID is an 18-digit number
Type ?id in any Discord chat to find your Discord ID

Cosmic ++ is locked to one computer at a time
Contact a Moderator on Discord to request an HWID reset
