Settings Submenu¶
The Settings submenu contains two core options:
Tempo Standing and Button Remap.
These values determine how your shooting system behaves — regardless of whether you use Rhythm, Stick Auto Tempo, or both.
Tempo Standing¶
Summary:
Controls the timing between Right Stick Down → Right Stick Up, which the game uses to determine your shot tempo.
- Utilized by ALL shooting methods in Cosmic Lite.
- You should ensure this value is properly set before expecting consistent timing.
- The default value 56 works for most jumpshots, faster jumpshots can go down to 48.
How It Works
- Tempo Standing is the amount of time (ms) between the stick-down and stick-up motion.
- The game reads this motion as your tempo, and Shot Feedback, Rushed or Slow, will reflect accuracy.
Adjusting the Value
DPAD LEFT/DPAD RIGHT: adjust in 4/8ms incrementsDPAD UP/DPAD DOWN: adjust in 1ms increments
When to Adjust
- If your shot feedback constantly says Slightly:
- Slightly Rushed → Increase Tempo
- Slightly Slow → Decrease Tempo
- Refer to the Practice & Values Guide for a full breakdown.
Button Remap¶
Summary:
Reassigns your SQUARE/X functionality (stolen for Rhythm) to either R3/RS IN or L1/LB.
- Requires Rhythm with SQ/X ON.
- Used for actions normally tied to
SQUARE/X: - Layups
- Dunks
- Steals
Available Remap Modes
R3(PS) /RS IN(Xbox)L1(PS) /LB(Xbox)
Choose whichever is more comfortable based on your layout or controller preference.
Why This Exists
Since Rhythm Shooting repurposes your SQUARE/X button to trigger Right Stick Down, you still need a replacement input for actions that depend on it.
This option restores that functionality cleanly.
Having Issues?¶
If your timing feels inconsistent, remap feels awkward, or values don't seem to stick:
- Review the Practice & Values Guide
- Make sure your Tempo Standing is properly calibrated
