Button Rhythm¶
Rhythm with Button¶
Use this mode to trigger Rhythm Shots using a button instead of the right stick.
- Toggle ON/OFF as needed — works alone or with other Rhythm modes.
- Choose which button activates the shot:
SQ/XorL1/LB. - This is NOT an autogreen. You must still time your release.
Rhythm Shooting simply provides a much larger green window (~60% larger). - When activated, your
SQ/Xbutton is remapped toRS DOWNto begin the Rhythm Shot. - On release, your Tempo value determines the automatic flick up.
- If you use
SQ/X, that button becomes dedicated to Rhythm Shooting.
Use Button Remap to restore dunks, steals, layups, etc. - Rhythm Shooting uses a timing window that is different from your Jumpshot Creator cue.
Practice is recommended — see the Practice and Values Guide.
Tempo Values¶
Tempo Standing
Default: 40 ms
Controls tempo for all standstill Rhythm Shots.
Tempo Fading
Default: 60 ms
Controls tempo for all fading Rhythm Shots (when Fade w Button is ON).
Tempo No Dip
Default: 36 ms
Controls tempo for catch-and-shoot no-dip shots while holding L2/LT.
Tempo Adjustments¶
These values control the timing of the stick down → stick up (or vice-versa) motion.
If your feedback consistently shows Slightly ___:
- Slightly Fast: Increase your Tempo
- Slightly Slow: Decrease your Tempo
Adjustment controls:
- DPAD LEFT/RIGHT: ±4 to 8 ms
- DPAD UP/DOWN: ±1 ms
For precise measurements, follow the Practice and Values Guide.
Button Remap¶
If Rhythm with Button is set to SQ/X, your normal SQ/X actions move here.
Choose which button replaces your SQ/X functions:
R3(PS) /RS IN(XB)L1(PS) /LB(XB)
Use this to regain dunks, layups, steals, and other face-button actions.
Fade w Button¶
Controls fade behavior so you don’t accidentally trigger Go-To Shots.
- Fade ON: Holds RS Up while moving to force fade animations.
- Fade OFF: Holds RS Down for standard Rhythm Shots.
Random Dribbling When Shooting?
You are triggering Go-To Shot animations from the Fade w Button feature.
Toggle it OFF, or release your left stick before shooting.
